Caching is similar to cookies, but a mile better, because it helps decrease your website's loading time.

Caching is not just about remembering your preferences, but it also puts stuff on your computer making sure the page loads faster next time you visit it.

There are different types of caching - browser caching, page caching and object caching:

● Object caching will store videos, audios, and images, so that the page can load much faster.
● Page caching will save layouts and design on a computer.
● Browser caching stores page code and some more of page layout on your computer.

Combined together, all these three caching types ensure that your page is loading much faster.

We recommend you to use W3 Total Cache plugin, don't worry, we'll show you how to set it up. Read on. To show you the real effects of these plugins and updates, we actually set it up our own demo site and will show you the difference in page load speed as we go through the steps we recommend ourselves. Now let's run our site page speed test to find out our current grade and loading speed. This was done before the installation of WordPress plugin W3 total cache.

Our results are already pretty good, but it can still be a lot better.
You can do the tests yourself with these tools:

• https://gtmetrix.com/

In these tests, we used Pingdom. However, if Google rankings is your focus, you should focus on Google Insights and improve your score there.

Now we are going to guide you through the setup of W3 Total Cache plugin settings. Then we are going to show the results of our loading speed. Through this, you will be able to see how much this plugin has improved our loading speed.

First, look on your left menu on the dashboard and find "Performance".

When you get in the General Setting scroll down and find Object cache, Browser cache and Database cache. Now enable all of them, like shown below.

all caching must be enabled

After the setup, we are going to do a test and see what happens to the scores.

As you can see, there is a big improvement in our score. Do your own test and see what was your before and after score. Write it down!
